**Position Overview**: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for researching potential funding opportunities, drafting grant proposals, and assisting in the development of funding strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with strong writing skills looking to start a career in grant writing within the non-profit sector.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
- Assist in the preparation, writing, and submission of grant proposals, including gathering necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
- Collaborate with program staff to understand project goals and objectives for accurate proposal development.
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of proposals and reports.
- Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to support the foundation's programs and initiatives.
- Track and report on the progress of submitted proposals and follow up with funding agencies as needed.
- Contribute to the development of content for other fundraising materials, such as newsletters, brochures, and social media posts.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field. (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with non-profit organizations and an interest in the arts, especially dance, is a plus.
- Prior experience in grant writing or fundraising is an advantage but not required.
