**VIS Electrical is growing and we’re looking for a driven and experienced Chief Estimator to lead our electrical estimating division.**

As a core member of our leadership team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our electrical operations. From early-stage project evaluation to final budgeting and hand-off, you’ll be involved in every step. You’ll also support project management and job creation, working closely with our construction and field teams to ensure seamless delivery of multifamily and commercial electrical projects across Vancouver Island.

**What You’ll Do**
- Lead the estimating process for all electrical projects
- Prepare accurate and competitive bid proposals, budgets, and change orders
- Interpret project plans, specs, and electrical drawings to develop takeoffs and cost breakdowns
- Coordinate with the Project Management and Operations teams to support execution and handoff
- Maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships for pricing and materials
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support value engineering initiatives
- Assist in job planning and creation, including scope definition and scheduling
- Participate in strategy sessions and forecasting to help guide departmental growth
- Mentor junior estimators and collaborate across departments

**What You Bring**
- 5+ years of electrical estimating experience, ideally in residential multifamily and commercial builds
- Strong background in the BC electrical construction market
- Proven experience managing estimates on projects ranging from $100K to $5M+
- Exceptional knowledge of estimating software and tools, like Accubid or Patabid is a plus
- Project management experience is a strong asset
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Red Seal or relevant TQ/certifications preferred but not required
- Understanding of BC Building Code and electrical regulations
