**QA Coordinator, Environmental Labs**

**(Full time position)**

**As a QA Coordinator, your main responsibilities are**:
Supporting the QA function within the local laboratory. With supervision received from the QA Specialist and/or QA Manager, assists in the implementation of the QA program to ensure that Bureau Veritas provides its customers accurate and defendable data. Work towards ensuring the laboratories are in compliance with all relevant accreditation programs.
- Monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices to ensure continual and effective implementation.
- Educate and train staff in the requirements of Bureau Veritas’s Quality Management System.
- Monitor the effective implementation of Bureau Veritas’s Quality Assurance Program.
- Ensure the Quality System Tools are available and used.
- Encourage, identify and participate in continual improvement.
- Assist Internal Customers in addressing questions, concerns and stuck points with regards to quality practices.
- Liaison and coordinator for External QA requirements and process, including Accreditation requirements (including PTs) and Client Audits.
- All other responsibilities as assigned.

B.Sc. or equivalent degree is required._
- Minimum 2 years’ laboratory experience. Internal Auditor training is an asset.
- Strong science background and experience in laboratory practices.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control programs (ISO 17025).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to write reports and work instructions.
- Conduct training sessions or presentations for small staff groups.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Competent in reviewing analytical procedures and practices.
