**Position: Human Resources Coordinator**

**Reports to**: Director of Human Resources

**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (flexibility required/multiple sites) (This is an ON-SITE position)

**The Position**

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support all HR related functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and Company policy.

**Education**:

- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources
- CHRP designation preferred, or pursuing
- Knowledge of Employment Standards Act; Ontario Human Rights Act; Labour Relations Act; Occupational Health & Safety Act

**Experience**_**:_
- Experience working in a Human Resource administrative capacity, preferably in a unionized, manufacturing environment
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, delivering presentations/orientation an asset
- Maintains knowledge of all legislation pertaining to human resources including: ESA; Human Rights; Occupational Health & Safety Act; Privacy Legislation;

- Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
- Works well under pressure in a constantly changing environment

**Work Environment/Health & Safety**:

- Use of personal protective equipment or clothing required to perform the job tasks safely and promotes their use
- Reports unsafe or hazardous situations or work practices in a timely manner
- Implements the Occupational Health and Safety Act or applicable regulations
- Accountable and responsible to proactively and effectively resolve issues
- Takes the initiative to improve the workplace

**General Duties include but are not limited to**:

- HR Information system administrator
- Provide support to all employees on policy and procedures
- Maintain probationary and regular performance appraisal tracking
- Research and update job descriptions as changes are required
- Coordinate and maintain recruitment activities of fulltime and temporary workforce including screening, conducting interviews, administering assessments, preparing offer letters, conducting references etc.
- Coordinate and conduct New Employee Orientation Program
- Support internal job posting process
- Coordinate meetings and education sessions as required
- Filing and clerical functions to maintain records accurately and confidentially
- Maintain plant attendance records, track and monitor attendance program
- Update Unionized Seniority Listing monthly
- Provide back-up for other Human Resource personnel during absences
- Provide support to the Director, Human Resources as required, including preparing letters, memos etc.
- Act as a liaison in ISO Audits. Ensure department compliance
