We are looking for a motivated, results-oriented and enthusiastic person who sees the value in creative problem solving. We are hiring for a **Temporary full-time Training Specialist (One Year)** in Guelph who will report to the Resource Manager. As a Training Specialist, your responsibilities will include designing training modules for database and service planning tool (CAPS), designing follow up tools to reinforce learning, deliver on-demand training, and analyzing data for continuous improvement.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop training modules for CAPS and provide refresher trainings
- Create team-support tools and training for Supervisors and Managers for the purpose of learning reinforcement
- Design training presentations and sessions and recruiting internal training champions
- Deliver on-demand training and support for 600+ people supported and their families
- Identify areas for improvement and knowledge retention
- Develop metrics and long-term opportunities for learning.
**Educational/Technical Competencies**
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Communication, Human Resources, Business, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator or a similar role.
- Strong computer literacy, specifically with learning new software, building presentations and training materials that can be used other both digitally and in hard copy.
- Ability to problem solve and think outside the box creatively.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proven self-starter, able to work independently who is resourceful and curious.
- Incorporates probing questions to obtain necessary information.
- Balance of detail oriented with “big picture” thinking.
- Flexible to change and resilient to stressful situations.
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle, up to date insurance and a valid driving license.
- Must be COVID vaccinated (minimum 2 doses)
