**Position Overview**:
**Major Job Functions**:
- Field assessments pertaining to the work described above;
- Completion of reporting associated with the various assessments as listed above including coordinating and/or preparing maps, drawings, and figures
- Use of computer software such as QGIS and ArcMap, for creation of maps; prior experience an asset
**Specific Skills and Knowledge**:
- Comfortable with outdoor work and occasional travel
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work on numerous projects
- Willingness to learn and work under limited supervision
- Strong technical writing capabilities
- Flexibility, organizational, and time management skills
**Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geoscience, Geology, Geological Engineering, or similar field
- At least 5 years of work experience in a geoscience related field
- Registered or eligible to be registered as a Professional Geoscientist with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC)
