As a Materials Technology Laboratory Technician, you will carry out geotechnical and construction material laboratory testing services for various construction projects within one of our certified laboratory facilities across Ontario.

**The laboratory work will include**:

- Testing of soil, aggregate, and concrete samples to determine engineering properties. This will include standard proctor testing, grain size analysis, determination of moisture content, compressive strength testing of concrete cylinders and other related laboratory tests.
- Depending on prior experience and knowledge, you may provide support to higher complexity soil, aggregate and concrete lab departments.
- In addition to the testing, daily sample management activities will be required, such as: sample receiving, logging samples into management systems, movement of samples to storage locations, and disposal of samples.
- Daily general housekeeping and maintenance tasks are also required.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Recent graduate of a civil, geotechnical or other engineering college or university programs
- Prior laboratory testing experience and current CCIL Certifications an asset, but not mandatory.
