**JOB SUMMARY**
The Warehouse Technician & Driver - Ottawa is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day company operations and all aspects of event operations within the region, providing organizational, administrative and technical support. Reporting to the Director of Operations and working in conjunction with the Operations Team, the primary duties of this position include event transportation, maintaining inventory in our software and physical assets, on-site technical support, and overseeing the upkeep of our facility spaces. When not directly supporting events, the position involves working in the warehouse/office to prepare for the transport and return of event equipment, as well as contributing to inventory-related projects within these areas. While working onsite, key responsibilities include setting up, operating, and dismantling event equipment as needed. This position is comprised of an average 40-hour work week with the expectation that flexible and overtime hours will occur. This position is based out of our Ottawa warehouse/office and is in-person/on-site.
**KEY DUTIES**
Operational and Administrative Support
- Learn and maintain a sound knowledge of the customized inventory software (IntelliEvent Lightning)
- Check-out/in of all owned equipment in our inventory software
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting activities like inventory counts
- Create and update plans for the operational execution of events in the Ottawa/Montreal regions in conjunction with the Operations Team
- Coordinate with existing and new vendors to purchase or rent equipment or vehicles as required as it relates to the needs of the Ottawa location and their events
- Purchase and receive consumables and office supplies
- Ensure facility cleanliness and organization is maintained at all times
- Operate vehicles and trucks up to 26-feet to vendors and suppliers as required
- Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily reports, equipment inspection logs, etc.
- Adhere to all safety standards in Bespoke AV policies and laws as laid out by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario in respect of driving leased, owned, and rented vehicles
- Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, trucks and lifting devices
- Assist in cargo handling, loading of vehicles and trucks, and secure loads in accordance with established safety requirements
- Participate in department and company meetings, provide feedback and offer ideas or solutions to warehouse and other challenges
- Provide orientation and direction to freelance or temporary contractors operating and assisting in facility operations
- Set a positive example amongst colleagues and liaise with clients/vendors in a polite and professional manner
- Provide technical expertise to clients during install and dismantle of events
- Set a positive example amongst contractors by liaising with clients in a polite and professional manner, and ensuring that Bespoke AV brand standards are met and exceeded
- Complete show reports and provide feedback to the Operations Team on systems, equipment, and personnel
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Must hold a valid Ontario G license or equivalent and be willing/have experience with operating trucks up to 26-ft
- Must possess a clean driver’s abstract and in good standing
- Must be able to work varied and flexible hours (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Experience in the audio-visual/live event production industry is preferred
- One year minimum experience with working in a Warehouse setting
- Familiarity with using inventory software (IntelliEvent) is considered an asset
- Must physically be able to lift, move, manipulate objects up to 23 kilograms (51 lbs.)
