Practice Leader, Strategic Workforce Planning

Talent management / Permanent / Anywhere in Canada (hybrid or telework)_
**Responsibilities**:
- Create and implement strategic workforce planning practices in collaboration with other HR programs and practices (succession, talent development, etc.).
- Closely collaborate with HR partners and stakeholders from various sectors to understand relevant issues and challenges.
- Draw a portrait of the current workforce based on various HR indicators, including profiles of our talent (among other things, an inventory of their skills).
- Analyze current and future staffing needs (professional, key position and skill evolution) according to the company’s strategic orientation. Perform gap analyses to achieve targets.
- Develop an overarching strategy to address areas of vulnerability in the workforce: Establish a concerted action plan with various parties concerned (other HR expertise, business sectors, etc.) in the form of integrated initiatives.
- Implement metrics, dashboards and data forecasting models in collaboration with the HR analytics team in order to track current and future portraits of the workforce and appropriately manage the practice.
- Establish an organizational framework for current and future competencies and ensure its effective implementation.
- Act as strategic advisor on various organizational mandates regarding processes that impact strategic workforce planning.
- Provide executive presentations on the practice, as well as its accountability.
- Collaborate on various talent management and development projects.
- Continuously monitor information and the market for best practices in talent management.
**Desired profile**:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or another relevant discipline
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in human resources or in a relevant field, ideally in workforce planning, project management, talent management and development or HR analytics
- Excellent business sense with strategic and systematic thinking skills
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Excellent popularization and communication skills
- Leadership skills and sharp political acumen
- Team player and excellent collaborator
- Knowledge of the Agile methodology (asset)
- Knowledge of Workday (asset), HR analytics tools and Office suite
- Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for frequent interaction with internal French
- and English-speaking colleagues or partners across Canada and the United States
