**Responsibilities of a Lead Guest Experience Expert**:
- Making sure our guests have an amazing experience and helping the team do the same
- Creating a fun and welcoming vibe that celebrates NB's wine culture
- Sharing interesting info about our wines, history, people, philosophy, vineyard, and cellar practices to make our guests' visit more memorable
- Finding cool ways to work with local businesses to grow our community
- Chatting with guests and the team to get feedback and ideas, then sharing them with management
- Helping the team with their purchases and discounts
- Supporting your teams personal and professional growth
- Being a role model for how to do things right at the winery
- Keeping up with all the latest news and happenings using our communication tools
- Speaking up and contributing during meetings with the management team
- Making sure everyone on the team is on track with their schedule and showing up on time
- Getting guests and the team excited about upcoming events and experiences
- Works according to Magnetic Hill Winery’s Employee Handbook
- Handling any issues that come up with guests in a friendly and professional way, and showing the team how it's done
- Representing Magnetic Hill Winery at external winery events when needed
- Looking sharp and professional every day, while still being approachable and friendly
**A day in the life**:
- Get everything set up for a great day of tastings, making sure we have all the glasses, plates, napkins, and other stuff we need, and that the room looks clean, tidy, and inviting.
- Take a look at the reservations and plan out how many seats we'll need, so we can be ready for our guests
- Be the go-between for the bar and kitchen, delivering orders to our guests and making sure they have everything they need
- Tell our guests all about our amazing wines and what makes them so special and unique
- Stay on top of the menu and let everyone know if we're running low on anything or if there are any changes to the dishes
- Help create a happy and positive vibe for the team and our guests by working together and having fun
- Make sure we're handling all our transactions accurately and correctly, and that the cash drawer is balanced at the end of the shift
- Follow our standard procedures for getting things done, so we can work efficiently and smoothly
- Keep things moving quickly and efficiently during the day
- Decide who's going to work where and which tables they'll be responsible for, so we can all stay on top of things
- Make sure we've done all our opening and closing tasks
- Write up any incidents that happen during the day
- Be a team player and help out wherever we're needed, whether it's in our department or somewhere else in the winery
**Preferred**:
- Bilingual (French and English) or multi-lingual
- Love dogs (Magnum and Brix our Australian Shepherds are around for lots of cuddles)
- High school diploma or GED
**What you bring**:
- A love for wine
- Able to work well with others and can also get things done solo, all while producing great results. Whether as part of a team or on their own, you’ll never compromise on quality.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with a high energy level
- Available to work evenings, weekend and holidays
- Willingness to complete the Responsible Beverage certificate training
- Willingness to complete Food Safety Certification
- Willingness to complete WSET certification
- Physically fit to meet requirements of lifting 35 lb-50 lb cases of wine, standing for long periods in various environments
- Be at least 19 years of age
- Safely adhere to public health and Covid policies and guidelines to maintain a safe environment
