Seeking friendly, high-energy multi-taskers who enjoy the restaurant environment, interacting with customers and preparing and working with food. Requires moving back and forth between the front and back of house.

**DAY SHIFT**:
Must have full availabilityto work **every day, **Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, from **11:00 am to 4:00 pm.**

**EVENING SHIFT**:
Must have full availabilityto work **every day, **Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, from **4:00 pm to close **(latest 10 pm)

**Prerequisite**:Must be able to come in _**during the day**_ for a 1-week training period, Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, starting at 10 am for approximatey 5 hours.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- operate Point of Sale system: accurately enter orders and process payments
- memorize menu and help customers with order options; upsell; promote new menu items
- . memorize menu items, ingredients and portion sizes to ensure consistency and accuracy
- assemble and bag orders
- . take phone orders and process online delivery orders
- prepare and cook some menu items on a wood fired grill
- prepare and cook some items from scratch
- perform ongoing inventory checks and take initiative to ensure there is sufficient quantity at all times
- maintain cleanliness and health and safety standards at front and back of house
- Evening Shift also performs closing tasks such as food removal/storage, dishwashing, trash removal, etc.
- perform other related tasks as required or assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- punctual, reliable, trustworthy
- friendly, positive attitude; comfortable dealing with the public
- excellent English
- able to multi-task and work under time pressures without becoming overwhelmed
- attention to detail; good organizational skills
- able to take direction and initiative and perform tasks quickly and accurately
- able to work well independently and with others
- able to walk, stand in place and perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods
- able to lift, move and carry items up to 50 lbs., including up and down a flight of stairs
- open to learning and taking on new responsibilities

**ASSETS**
- familiarity with and/or ability to cook Caribbean dishes
- live fire grilling experience
- current food handler’s certification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25-35 per week

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
