**This position is a full-time, temporary contract (6 months) with the potential for extension.**_

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the administering of scheduling systems across the employee lifecycle including new hire setup, status changes and transitions
- Support the allocating and replacing of shift vacancies, assign extra shifts, and perform temporary scheduling as needed in line with collective agreements and internal policies
- Create and distribute accurate schedules within established timelines
- Respond promptly to last-minute schedule changes, sick calls, and urgent coverage needs. Process timekeeping transactions including vacation, sick leave, and shift assignments
- Analyze and validate timecards for payroll; process manual payouts as needed
- Respond to employee scheduling inquiries with clarity and professionalism
- Support onboarding coordination and liaise with HR and payroll to maintain data accuracy
- Ensure compliance with documentation procedures and scheduling protocols
- Communicate staffing updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned outside the scheduling function.

**Qualifications & Experience**

**Education & Experience**
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Office Administration, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in staff scheduling, shift coordination, or timekeeping systems (e.g., StaffScheduleCare, Kronos).
- Experience in healthcare or a unionized setting is an asset

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and workforce/database systems
- Strong analytical and organizational skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with mínimal supervision
