Intermediate Academic Records Administrator

**Athabasca University's Office of the Registrar is currently recruiting for the position of Intermediate Academic Records Administrator.**
The Office of the Registraris seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intermediate Academic Records Administrator. This pivotal role ensures the integrity and accuracy of academic records while delivering exceptional service to students, staff, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Records Processing: Efficiently handle all functions within the Academic Records unit, including processing outgoing transcripts, APAS transcript reports, final grades, letters of certification, and verification of enrolment. Manage name and address changes, student identification cards, education verifications, ASN clean-up reports, and course completion letters.
- Data Management: Accurately enter and update student demographic information, processing Release of Information Waivers and Letters of Authorization. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies within student academic records to maintain data integrity.
- Policy and Procedure: Evaluate and recommend changes to policies and procedures concerning student academic records. Assist with the resolution of student concerns by researching relevant policies and procedures and making informed decisions.
- Team Collaboration: Actively participate in team meetings and stay updated on unit changes. Provide backup support to the Enrolment Services team as needed and assist with various processes and functions within the Office of the Registrar.
- Grade 12 education supplemented with 3 years of increasingly responsible clerical experience inan educational environment, preferably in a Registrar's Office. An equivalent combination ofeducation and experience will be considered.
- Extensive knowledge of the AU calendar, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Thorough investigative and problem-solving kills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of data entry and retrieval operations in a computerized information system.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and set own priorities.
- Ability to differentiate between information, advising and counselling. (Must be able to assessclient's situation and own ability to deal with it.)
- Ability to use electronic mail.
