Shipping & Receiving Specialist

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Welcome and assist employees, couriers and vendors to/in the mail room
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization and order of the mail room
- Receive and ship all mail constantly creating processes to accommodate our rapid growth
- Maintains clear and concise routines for all shipping & receiving packages with expedience and accuracy
- Establish and maintain strong process and procedures for all office shipping & receiving to ensure accuracy
- Accountable for performing department audits on monthly and quarterly cycles
- Coordinates all delivery processes and procedures to ensure consistent timlely pick up
- Acts as the resident ‘expert’ on all customs requirements, shipping declarations and packaging specifications
- Liaises with employees to provide support and guidance on shipping-related procedures and queries
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment
- Coordinates Remote Pick Up Process with vendors within Canada, US and Internationally
- Update and uphold all shipping & receiving information on our internal communication sites
- Work cross-functionally with, but not limited to, logistics, technology and product teams
- Provides couriers with documentation for delivery exceptions and customs clearance
- Manage and order shipping supplies and any equipment as necessary
- Complete special projects as assigned

- Minimum one year of experience in shipping & receiving
- Consistent lifting (max 50 lbs.)
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Extraordinary guest service, organizational and time management skills 
- Strong self-motivation to drive results
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced changing environment
- High attention to detail and task orientation with an ability to problem solve and be a team player
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of creating and understand shipping documents
- Able to observe and maintain the utmost confidentiality
- Responsible and dependable
- Passion for creativity, new ideas, and thinking outside of the box
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs
