Automotive Buyer

Dilawri Automotive Group is currently seeking motivated individuals who want to become successful Automotive Buyers at our following dealerships:
**Barrhaven Chrysler - 510 Motor Works Private**

**Duties**
- Purchase vehicles throughout our region on behalf of the Dilawri Automotive group.
- Discusses purchasing requirements and forecasts sales for future months with variable operations management team.
- Assist Used Car Manager with all paperwork from auctions and proper documentation to the office for purchases.
- Possibly negotiate prices with the auctions.
- Examine inventory to ensure satisfactory condition.
- Notifies the used vehicle department manager of anticipated delivery or delays of purchases.
- Analyzes sales history and local area trends to determine the best purchasing mix.
- Tracks customer interest in vehicles not in stock.
- Keeps abreast of current market and current valuation of used vehicles.
- Appraises vehicle trades along with the sales managers.
- Informed of compliance with all laws and regulations regarding the used-vehicle industry.
- Develops and maintains outside sources (social media) for both buying and selling units.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Attends managers meetings as requested.
- Other tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Ability to read and interpret documents such operations, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers..
- Having knowledge of multiple types, makes and models of vehicles are an asset.
- Having experience in management or decision making is an asset.
- This role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Compensation - Guaranteed salary + Commission and Bonuses.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Automotive Purchasing: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail Sales / Customer Support: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- OMVIC (preferred)
- Drivers (required)
