**Overview**:
**Position: Quality Manager**
Full-time position (40hr/week) hours.

Shift: 730 - 4 (Some flexibility)

**Job Functions / Responsibilities**:

- Maintain current and future Food Safety and Quality programs - including HACCP, SQF implementation, and all relevant SOP’s, GMP’s & Forms.
- Ensure compliance with Regulatory Bodies including all relevant Acts, regulations and requirements (i.e. CFIA, SFCR, Fraser Health, FDA, NAFTA)
- Maintain supplier approval program including all documentation requests from vendors (i.e. Spec sheets, Certifications)
- QA Manager is responsible for both major and minor audits
- Manage and log all internal and external complaints initiating corrective actions as necessary
- Initiate holds, corrective actions, investigations and preventative measures for all non-conforming products and incoming ingredients
- Perform inspections and verifications as required
- Respond to customer documentation requests in a timely manner and complete customer forms as requested
- Train employees on GMP and related Food Safety and Quality programs
- Work with the Operations Manager in resolving food safety issues
- Participate in new product development and presentations with sales and marketing team
- Compile information from nutritional database and create NFT panels for new products, and as requested or required
- Perform label review and handle submissions of new and existing labels with regulatory and certifying bodies to ensure compliance
- Organize all required quality and microbial analysis - know how to recognize shelf-life requirements, etc.
- Perform Validations
- Perform Risk Analyses that may lead to new and improved implementation of programs
- Manage all Quality Department staff
- The ability to advise middle and upper management on quality-related matters

**Personal Qualifications**:

- Fluent in English - verbal and written
- Confidence is a must.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Quickbooks
- Strong problem solver
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work overtime when needed
- Proven leadership, team building and interpersonal skills
- Able to prioritize tasks
- Ability to accurately maintain detailed records
- Effectively and cooperatively work with customers, employees and supervisors
- Positive attitude
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Preferred Credentials:

- SQF Practitioner License
- HACCP Certification
- PCQI Certification

**Experience**:

- Quality Assurance Management: 3 years (preferred)
- QA: 5 years (preferred)
- Food Industry: 3 years (preferred)
- **Compensation**: $60,000-75,000

Commensurate with experience
