**Pourquoi ce rôle est-il important?**
**Role Summary**:
As a Learning and Development Specialist you will work with the Learning Team to support the design, development, maintenance and delivery of learner-centric solutions, using adult learning principles, to engage and motivate learners. The incumbent will manage day-to-day training activities and ensure learning resources are readily available and accessible to end users. The Learning and Development Specialist will also support with the standardization of learning resources, instructional methods and implementation practices; as well as on-going maintenance of learning materials.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support all stages of the learning lifecycle including need assessment, curriculum design, content development, delivery, measurement and maintenance
- Ensure learning solutions demonstrate best practices in adult learning principles
- Ensure quality and adherence to standards, patient safety and provincial regulations are maintained across areas of responsibility/program
- Work closely and collaboratively with the learning team, operational teams and stakeholders
- Support a team of learning professionals to deliver learner-centric solutions that meet business objectives
- Assist in the development of learning support materials to foster ongoing learning opportunities for both new and existing colleagues
- Support in the continuous development of the Train the Trainer and Training Ambassador program nationally
- Support Learning Partners in various projects as required, adhering to project timelines and deliverables, and assisting with communications strategies as needed
- Recommend training support requirements to leadership teams, ensuring colleagues achieve the highest level of performance
- Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training programs and methodologies
- Manage day-to-day training activities and coordination of training schedules

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education with specialization in adult education, human resources, organizational development or relevant experience (long term care experience an asset)
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in human resources and/or learning, with a focus on training, talent development or adult education
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels of the business
- Knowledge and experience with rapid eLearning development tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise 360) an asset
- Knowledge and experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience with LMS administration an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of the Long-Term Care Sector and associated operating systems, such as Kroll (an asset)
- Travel Required
