**Position Summary**

We are seeking a dynamic leader who is engaging, committed to quality care environments, excels at building successful teams and focused on ensuring positive patient outcomes to join our leadership team at BCHS as the Clinical Manager of the Willett Hospital Transitional Unit and Urgent Care Centre in Paris.
“The Willett” is a 100 year old organization with a rich history that maintains its roots in the community of Paris, Ontario. As part of the recent plans for expansion announced by the provincial government, the Willett is poised to undergo a transformation to better serve the surrounding area and its growing population. The Willett is the sister site to the Brantford General Hospital and treats approximately 20,000 patients a year. They are equipped to provide same-day xray, bloodwork and other diagnostic services.
This portfolio consists of a transitional unit with 32 beds for non-acute patients receiving Low-Intensity Rehab or ALC-type care. The other portion of the portfolio consists of the Willett Site Urgent Care Centre which provides rapid and expert care for non-emergent conditions. Your excellent leadership and management skills are exceptional and as a highly motivated leader you have a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong community partnerships and relationships with all stakeholders across the continuum of health care.
**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Manager of The Willett Hospital Transitional Unit and Urgent Care Centre is the front line manager for the portfolio, and is responsible for the development of patient care programs, policies and procedures that prescribe how patient care needs will be assessed, evaluated and met.
**Specific Responsibilities**:
**In collaboration with the Director, the Manager**:
Oversees the daily operations of the clinical program to ensure that safe, evidence-informed care is provided at the unit level for our patients and the community we serve.
Manages the unit resources (Human, Financial, and Physical) to deliver effective, efficient and safe patient care.
Oversees the effective management of patient flow and discharge planning and be accountable for identifying barriers to patient care needs and creating solutions.
Development and collaborative leadership of the program with physician partner(s).
**Qualifications**:
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or other health discipline, Master’s Degree preferred.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a formal leadership role in healthcare.
- Member in good standing with a College recognized under the Regulated Health Professions Act.
- Demonstration of transformational leadership qualities is an asset to effectively lead others during this unprecedented time in healthcare in order to meet the demands and accountabilities of an evolving healthcare system.
- Strong communicator and proven ability to facilitate timely resolution of patient and family issues in collaboration with the team.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to BCHS’ patient and family centred care philosophy.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and lead effective interprofessional teams
- Proven success in managing change and fostering a positive workplace culture
- Proven ability to work with frontline staff to identify, promote and resolve quality issues
- Knowledge of quality improvement principles and change management processes for QI and system advancement in healthcare.
