MUST have current, active registration with the HCA Directory of Alberta
MUST have 2 years recent work experience in Canada (post secondary experience from an accredited HCA school may be accepted
This position requires many hours of repetitive motion tasks, such as, but not limited to, standing, kneeling, crouching, over head reaching, twisting, lifting, transferring and portering up to bariatric clients
Self starter
Ability to excel while working independently and as part of a team
Client care and safety is your priority
Previous experience with day programs, dementia diagnoses and mobility disorders is an asset

new external hires will be started at Step 1 of the AUPE pay scale until Letters of Portability are received and verifiedYou will provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal service and leisure activities and other related duties.

Personal Care Attendant (PCA) certificate and experience working with seniors and those with dementia is preferred. You are able to work well within a team, possess excellent interpersonal skills and are a strong communicator in both verbal and written English. Food Safe 1 is required (post July 29, 2013) or equivalent for BC employees and Food Safety Basic or equivalent for Alberta employees.
