Burlington, Canada Jobsite Industrial Rental Services Full time

With our continued expansion, Jobsite Industrial Rental Services, a Division of Toromont Industries LTD, has an opening for a Union 'G' Driver Level 1 working out of our Burlington location. As with all of our Jobsite locations, the new branch will be goal orientated and customer driven, relying on our team environment for success. Our Rental Supervisors work at both the customer and employee level to ensure our continued success, and are a key requirement in maintaining and developing lasting and loyal relationships.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver, pick-up and transfer rental equipment, propane and building products;
- Follow all rules of the road and deliver items safely;
- Ensure all loads are loaded, unloaded and secured properly;
- Provide excellent customer relations in a fast-paced, high-tempo work environment;
- Operate and maintain assigned company vehicle;
- On-call or after-hours work where required, flexible shift hours;
- Perform circle check of the vehicle prior to any deliveries, report any deficiencies as required;
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding any updates or changes in scheduling;
- Update log books as needed;
- Report any and all damages to the manager;
- Ensure tools are rental ready;
- Operate fleet equipment;
- Prepare for following day deliveries; fuel truck, wash if needed, and load equipment;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Key Qualifications**:

- The ability to provide excellent customer relations while keeping a positive attitude in a fast-paced, high-tempo work environment;
- Existing knowledge of construction equipment and building products;
- Familiarity and prior experience with tying and securing all types of loads, as well as all aspects of safe driving practices;
- Knowledgeable at tying down and securing construction equipment onto your vehicles and delivery to construction jobsites in timely and safe matter;
- Familiarity with landscaping & construction will be a requirement;
- Ability to work independently and affinity with time management and organization;
- Good communication and people skills;
- Full Class-G licensing, with a clean driver’s abstract
- Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting, as heavy lifting will be required frequently.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
