As a Network Analyst, you will provide consistent levels of organizational and technical expertise necessary for the successful implementation, maintenance and support of the critical network and security infrastructure services across Compugen's customer base.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide advanced-level technical support for troubleshooting and implementing configuration changes across a variety of vendor platforms. You will be regularly working with clients, business partners, escalation teams, and vendors to resolve incidents/problems, perform root cause analysis, and deliver infrastructure changes nationally across Canada and the USA.
**Responsibilities**
- Responding to network event and incident escalations from the first-level support Service Desk, internal/external clients and business partners
- Performing root cause analysis with vendor engineers and escalation teams for major incidents and recurring problems, and implementing permanent solutions
- Assist in managing the team's incident/problem/change ticket queues in accordance with established SLAs.
- Execution of active and proactive network and security infrastructure configuration changes across the global enterprise
- Performing audits for consistency in Network Management Systems, documentation, and configuration
- Creating/improving support documentation and ensuring shift reports are documented and kept up to date for major network-related outages.
- Participate in 24 x 7 on-call rotational shifts including evening and night shifts and weekend/holidays.
- Participating in meetings and training sessions to review and understand new technology and service deployments
**Qualifications**
- College or University education or equivalent work experience
- 4 - 8 years’ work experience in a large multi-site enterprise environment
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, including packet inspection/protocol analysis using packet analyzers for troubleshooting, is highly desired.
- Solid understanding and troubleshooting capability of L2/L3 protocols (ARP, HSRP, VRRP, STP, BGP, VRF, OSPF, VPC) in a Cisco environment.
- Knowledge of security concepts such as NAT/PAT, IPSEC, SSL, DDoS, IP Spoofing etc.
- Excellent understanding of the OSI model
- Experience working with the following network and security appliances/vendors:
- Load balancers (F5 LTM/GTM,Citrix Netscaler),
- Firewalls (FTD,Cisco ASA,Cisco Meraki, Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet,)
- Knowledge of IT security principles as well as encryption (MACsec, IPsec, SSL/TLS, DMVPN, WEP/WPA, etc.)
- Cisco IOS & NX-OS based routers & switches
- WLAN solutions: Aruba,Meraki,Ruckus technology support and implementation
- SDWAN technologies implementation and support
- Microsoft Azure and Hybrid Cloud Architectures
- Industry certifications required - CCNP, CCNA,(CCIE prefered)CMNA, NSE4, ACSP,ACMP,PCNSA/E
- VMware VCP and Azure certificates are viewed as an asset.
- Experience working in and implementing ITIL 4 best practices.
- Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Skilled at anticipating and resolving issues, getting to root cause, and identifying opportunities for improvement while aligning systems to best practice.
- Forward thinking and innovative with the ability to provide advice, and share vision.
- Comfortable in leading initiatives, and at times being an active participant in initiatives.
- Effective oral and written communication skills; comfortable presenting plans and engaging input with the client
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
