Aspire for Higher provides several sports-based programs to youth in Gr 1 - 8 in the GTA. We are seeking a Summer Camp Coordinator to manage our basketball and multi-sport camps, Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. The Summer Camp Coordinator will be responsible for managing staff and volunteers, providing quality customer service to parents, and ensuring the successful delivery of a fun, safe and memorable experience for all participants.

**Job Requirements**:

- 2-year minimum experience of supervising part-time staff with a background in recreation and leisure, education, early childhood education, youth work or equivalent.
- Must hold a valid Emergency First Aid/CPR B Certification
- Previous experience playing basketball, soccer or football at a competitive level is an asset
- Previous experience working with children is an asset
- The employment offer is conditional upon receipt of a Criminal Record Search - Vulnerable Sector Screening

**Responsibilities**:

- Visit programs daily to provide direction and ongoing coaching to enhance staff’s program knowledge, teaching techniques and program planning skills
- To provide quality customer service to all staff, parents, campers and volunteers
- Be responsible for knowing, understanding, training, and executing all camp policies and emergency procedures associated with Aspire for Higher Basketball
- Prepare staff schedules, ensure appropriate staff coverage during arrival and departure of campers, review staff’s logged hours
- To conduct safety checks of program equipment and facilities daily. Reporting anything that impact the quality and safe delivery of the program in a timely manner
- To perform other related duties as assigned

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
