Skills Ontario is building Ontario’s skilled trades and technologies workforce. We enable and empower all youth to consider a career in the skilled trades and technologies. Engagement with students, teachers, parents, guardians, volunteers, and guest speakers ensure our programs connect education, experience, and employment. We deliver in-school presentations across Ontario, host Canada’s largest skills competition, run summer camps for skills development and connect students to employers. We are focused on growth sectors such as construction and infrastructure, technology innovation, and hospitality services.
Skills Ontario is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting careers in the skilled trades and technologies to Ontario youth through a variety of programs and competitions across the province.

Skills Ontario **Program Facilitator** will help to deliver all of Skills Ontario’s programs including Presentations, Summer Camps, Trades and Tech Truck Program, Conferences and other events as well help with Competitions when needed.
- Booking and facilitating multiple presentations a week, to promote awareness of career opportunities in the skilled trades and technologies
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with school boards, communities, and other stakeholders
- Organizing events to bring together local skilled trades professionals and youth, including managing student recruitment, organizing logistics, etc.
- Assisting with the Trades and Tech Truck when required
- Delivering up to 6 weeks of summer camps during July and August locally and/or provincially
- Facilitating other events and programs as required (e.g., young women’s events and cardboard boat races)
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience in delivering workshops, programs, or presentations to youth is an asset
- Prior knowledge of and/or experience with skilled trade and technology occupations is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to make outbound calls and visits
- Experience in coordinating and delivering events
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Willingness to travel as required (travel reimbursed by Skills Ontario)
- Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle is required; reimbursement is paid for travel
- Secondary Graduate
- Fluency in French; comfortable delivering presentations in French
