**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist cooks and chefs in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Help with food handling and storage, ensuring all items are properly labeled and stored according to food safety guidelines.
- Support the team in organizing the kitchen workspace for optimal efficiency during busy service periods.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling.
- Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting low inventory levels.
- Assist in cleaning up after meal service, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed.

**Skills**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Understanding of food safety standards and regulations within the food industry.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing kitchen needs.

Pay: From $15.80 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
