**About the Role**

We’re looking for a Junior Facilities Management Specialist (FMS) to for provide support the day-to-day FM needs for NFP’s various offices. The FMS will be responsible for preventive maintenance planning, repair and/or replacement of building equipment, the enhancement of building esthetics as well as the administration and inspection of work completed by vendors. They may also review service contracts, liaise with customers, and respond to building system failures and emergencies.

**What You’ll Do**
- Travel to various NFP Canada offices and assist in the Facilities Management Operations
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with landlords, vendors, and other third parties to understand challenges and opportunities, ensure timely exchange of information and ensure service level requirements are met
- Provide regular updates and address issues or concerns, escalating to the AVP Operations as necessary
- Ensure all work areas are maintained in a clean and safe working condition
- Respond to emergency issues promptly
- Work within schedules to manage tasks related to office remodel or relocation projects during limited time duration and restricted data availability (i.e., during evenings or weekends)
- Assist with office preventive and corrective maintenance as well as office lifecycle replacements and/or refurbishments
- Collaborate with key office contacts to identify various supply needs and maintenance requirements
- Be responsible for on-site and off-site storage facilities
- Other duties as assigned

**What You Bring**
- Successful completion of certified skilled trade with the Ontario College of Trades; or a 2-year technical diploma related to building sciences or facilities management is a plus
- Typically, 2+ years of recent relevant experience
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Valid G Ontario Driver’s license and vehicle are required
- Experience in facilities management, including knowledge of building maintenance and trades, energy management, and emergency management plans
- Familiarity with federal and provincial legislation related to building regulation (i.e., Criminal Code, Fire Code, etc.)
- Ability to understand, interpret and comply with contracts and contractual requirements
- Ability to work outside under unfavorable weather conditions
- Demonstrated critical thinking and investigative skills
- Ability to work with flexible hours based on the needs of the business
- A general understanding of how to assess the impacts of minor/major works on building operations is a plus
