**JOB SUMMARY**
You will deliver highly effective commercial print for various campaigns for a variety of markets. A commercial print background with knowledge of various direct marketing requirements is an asset for this position. You must have experience with offset and digital print specifications. Experience with Canada Post regulations is an asset.
You will be liaising with clients, agencies and internal departments/clients from start to finish on all print requirements. From creating work back schedules, managing all aspects of production, and following up with job analyses after completion as required. You will be expert in prepress, print (digital and litho), bindery, finishing and packaging. You will also be required to establish and maintain quality control standards and check points to ensure work is completed according to customer branding standards and specifications.
Several years’ experience prepares you for this challenge, as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills and a strong desire to succeed and a sense of ownership and accountability. You have a sense of humor, an eye for detail, the ability to remain calm during chaos and a passion for delivering great work and meaningful results.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Works with Account Executives and Client Services providing them with key support with commercial print, planning out new projects or orders for customers assigned.
- Able to negotiate on new business with the client directly if required.
- Lead client activities related to the management of print. Handle client inquiries and execute on; kitting / fulfillment projects, print, production, estimating, inventory, client deliverables and general inquiries, project budgets, leads in identifying issues and creates solutions.
- Independently able to translate client business requirements into technical specifications and be able to lead those conversations with internal departments/Tier 2 vendors in the promotion of client solutions.
- This position must be able to advise and recommend the best manufacturing process including but not limited to size, quantity, paper, finishing, or delivery method. You will spend time through analysis making proactive recommendations to benefit your clients.
- Preparing quotes (directly or with estimating support)
- Entering sales orders / production orders / purchase Orders
- Reconciling and closing orders, to ensure accurate invoicing is created
- Working with various vendor partners and negotiating effectively for procured items.
- Collaborating with the various production teams and Tier 2 vendors to ensure customer orders are processed as requested
- Review all proofs and samples prior to forwarding to the client
- Implement and monitor quality control measures at all stages
- Keep customer / sales executive and CX up to date on orders and projects as required
- Understand Customer Contract Terms, Conditions, SOW's and SLA's and ensures they are met, and assist Account Executives to develop these as required
- Managing print pricing in our ERP system, including item level pricing, trade agreements, batch, contract / frozen pricing and ensuring accuracy
- Understanding items and how they interact with the various modules in D365
- Understanding and updating calculations (sometimes creating from scratch)
- Independently run reports and analyse inventory to make recommendations for replenishments
- File Maintenance (moving digital files to archive locations, keeping, deleting customer records in accordance with contract stipulations, purging digital and hard copy files to keep records current)
- Enter resolution requests (Cases / RSRs) for QC issues, or invoicing inaccuracies
- Other duties as assigned
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Technical or community college diploma in business communications, graphics communication, print purchasing or a similar field of education
- Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in a similar role (print production and business communication experience)
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Previous experience using ERP type software.
- Knowledge of Graphics software an asset
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, well developed interpersonal skills, very strong problem-solving abilities, ability to work as part of a team
- Understanding of quality and ISO processes
- Able to manage concurrent deliverables and tasks on various projects (or components of a project) within strict deadlines in a very fast paced environment
- Patient, proactive and disciplined
- Customer service and data entry experience
- Exceptional organizational skills, writing and communication skills, time management and team
- Experience in areas of planning and coordination or other relevant experience
- Understanding of prepress, softwares used and able to pre-flight PDF’s received
