**The role**:
Reporting to the COO, the **Procurement and Contracts Specialist** is responsible for contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, and developing strong relationships with suppliers. You will work closely with the leadership team as well as various departments to assist them in streamlining their procurement strategies and reducing inefficiencies.

**Your main tasks will include**:

- Managing the full life cycle of procurement for high-value industrial equipment: coordinating with Engineering to develop technical specifications; preparing RFPs and Purchase Order packages; pricing and terms negotiation, contract finalization.
- Implementing best practices for contract structuring, administration, and compliance with industry standards.
- Proactively managing financial, scope, and schedule risk: identification, mitigation, and escalation when required.
- Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key vendors.
- Proactively identifying opportunities and delivering solutions that improve inter-department procurement efficiency, secure competitive pricing, and optimize lead times.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement and contracts management within an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Proven record of effective negotiation skills.
- Experience in supplier management.
- Experience using procurement/ERP software.
- Engineering degree and relevant experience.
- Ability to create and maintain highly efficient, strong, and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills in English.
