Warehouse Team Lead

This role is critical to the success of Neovia and is at the forefront of our business operations. This role is responsible for assisting the supervisor in coordinating and delegating work flows, promoting cooperative team relationships, establishing daily priorities, gathering metrics, generating reports and overseeing work for multiple job classifications. This role will also be performing various warehouse functions at Neovia Logistics Services warehouse/distribution facility._
**Warehouse Team Lead**
Coordinates workflow, including allocating warehouse associates, and planning work capacities, while actively looking for individual and team improvements.
Supports the Management team in all Health and Safety, housekeeping, and process improvement initiatives. Where applicable, take the lead in directing and managing specific initiatives.
Leads daily meetings to discuss Health and Safety, Quality, and Productivity priorities, while generating feedback from associates in order to continuously improve processes.
Plans work ahead; defines daily, weekly, and monthly goals clearly and plans for potential problems.
Fosters cooperative team relationships, establishing daily priorities, generating reports, and overseeing work for hourly warehouse associates.
Performs material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials equipment and supplies.
Other duties as required.
**Qualifications**
High School diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years’ relevant experience in a warehouse environment.
Broad working knowledge of all Inbound/Outbound warehouse processes.
Team leadership, supervisory responsibilities deemed an asset.
Experience with warehouse management software and SAP desired.
Ability to operate various material handling equipment.
Must be able to lift and carry boxes or parts weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
Comfortable with heights up to 20 feet from the floor.
Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
**Skills and Competencies**
Basic math skills, comfortable working with metrics.
Basic skills in MS suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Organized and able to multi-task.
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents, and perform a variety of clerical functions.
Creative problem solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Strong initiative to stay current within the warehouse operations, taking a proactive approach when working with operational requirements.
**Salary**: Up to $22.50 per hour

- Secondary School (preferred)

- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
- RF Scanner: 1 year (preferred)
- Leadership: 1 year (preferred)
- Order Picker/ Cherry Picker and Reach: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
