The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Specialist to join their Information Management Group (IMG) on a full-time, contract basis for one year. This opportunity is located at the Queen Street West site and presents a unique chance to contribute to a significant redevelopment project within a leading mental health facility.
Support for CAMH Redevelopment Project
Collaboration with Outsourced Vendor
The CAMH network is managed by an outsourced partner, and the IT Specialist will be required to work closely with this vendor. The goal is to ensure that the IT environment is running at peak performance and tested prior to building occupancy and beyond. Support expertise should include knowledge of network technologies (Cisco wired and Wi-Fi), Cisco Call Manager, knowledge of major collaboration platforms such as MS teams, Webex, and other collaboration platforms, and a knowledge of server infrastructure (in a hybrid environment). This involves regular communication, troubleshooting and coordination with the vendor(s) to address any issues promptly.
Performance Analysis and Documentation
Technical Recommendations and Infrastructure Support
The role also includes providing technical recommendations for projects that require IT infrastructure input. This may involve advising on network configurations, Quality of Service (QOS) settings, and virtualization technologies. The IT Specialist will need to stay up to date with the latest advancements in these areas to offer informed guidance.
Additional Duties
While the primary focus will be on the redevelopment-related infrastructure, the IT Specialist may also be required to support other IT-related technologies. This could include general IT support tasks, troubleshooting, and maintenance as needed.
**Job Requirements**
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 5+ years in network management, servers in a hybrid environment, IOT, IT infrastructure projects, and collaboration tool such as MS teams, Webex, and other collaboration platforms, and associated in room computing to support these technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a thorough understanding of IT systems and technologies.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional - collaboration, or other Cisco specialization, Microsoft Azure certification at Administrator Level or higher, and cloud or similar Information Technologies Certifications are preferred.
