**Bakery Receiver & Packager**

Summerhill Market is hiring a **Bakery Receiver & Packager** to support our **high-volume, large-batch production kitchen**. This is a **day shift position** with required **availability on weekends and holidays**. We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals to assist with receiving, inventory organization, packaging, and quality control of our bakery goods.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Receive and inspect incoming bakery goods and ingredients** from suppliers
- **Organize and store inventory** in appropriate refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas
- Follow inventory rotation procedures (**FIFO**) and help track stock levels
- Assist with **light bakery production prep** tasks (e.g., measuring, scaling, portioning ingredients)
- Work on **packaging baked goods**, including labeling and preparing for retail
- Perform **quality checks** to ensure products meet our standards before distribution
- Maintain a **clean, organized work area** and follow food safety and sanitation practices
- Support the team with **general kitchen duties** as needed

**Requirements**:

- Comfortable working in a **fast-paced kitchen environment**:

- **Attention to detail** when receiving, storing, and packaging products
- Ability to **lift up to 50 lbs**, bend, stand, and perform manual tasks
- Basic understanding of **food safety and workplace safety** standards
- Able to work **day shifts** with flexibility for **weekends and holidays**:

- A **team-oriented attitude** and willingness to help where needed
