- Company Mission Statement Major Responsibilities- To report directly to the Plant Manager on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to manufacturing and production of products.
- To manage the production of all products with unionized production personnel with respect to safety, quality, technology, training, maintenance and the environment.
- To oversee the packaging of finished goods and movement of finished product to the warehouse.
- To conduct daily production huddles, review schedules, back-orders, break-downs, maintenance issues and quality issues.
- To prepare, file and maintain production reports related to the number of units produced, quality records, experimental products and reject reports.
- To manage manpower resources, including arranging overtime when required
- To Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings.
- Responsible for departmental housekeeping and 5S.
- To actively participate in company, staff or individual one-on-one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork and enhanced communication within the department as well as other departments across the company.
- To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
- To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Plant Manager in a timely and professional manner.
- Position Requirements & Factors- Education Skills and Aptitude:
- High school degree or equivalent
- CEGEP plus Specialized Business or Trade Courses preferred
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Safety and quality conscious
- Ability to cooperatively work and direct a diverse workforce
- Possess a willingness and desire to lead. Must be able to motivate, inspire and mentor people to realize goals
- Ability to exercise sound judgement
- Mechanical Aptitude a plus
- Minimum Experience Requirement:
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills involving a diverse workforce.

- RESPONSABILITÉS MAJEURES- Gérer la production de tous les produits avec le personnel de production syndiqué en ce qui concerne la sécurité, la qualité, la technologie, la formation, l'entretien et l'environnement.
- Effectuer des rencontres journalières, revoir les cédules, les commandes en souffrance, les pannes, les problèmes d’entretien et les problèmes de qualité.
- Préparer, classer et tenir à jour les rapports de production concernant la quantité produite, les dossiers de qualité, les produits expérimentaux et les rapports de rejet.
- Superviser l'emballage des produits finis et le transfert du produit fini au magasin.
- Vérifier les niveaux d'inventaire avec le service de contrôle de la production et effectuer des vérifications hebdomadaires des stocks finis en examinant l'information sur les ventes et les écarts des produits finis.
- Maintenir continuellement à jour des registres liés aux:

- Mise en route d’équipements
- Production, expédition et réception
- ISO 9001 (procédure, livre, dossier et registre)
- RESPONSABILITÉS MAJEURES- Participer à la coordination de l’arrêt annuel de l'usine et planifier les activités d'entretien, la logistique et le redémarrage de l'usine.
- Être responsable afin que les normes ISO 9001 soient respectées, ainsi que toutes les autres lois, réglementations et normes relatives à la santé et à la sécurité environnementales.
- Fabriquer des produits selon les échéanciers et fabriquer suffisamment de produits pour répondre pleinement aux exigences de qualité, de service et de livraison des clients.
