CinCin Ristorante is located on Robson Street, downtown Vancouver’s popular shopping artery, and steps from the city’s major hotels. We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager & Sommelier to join our professional and celebrated management team. The Restaurant Manager will help inspire, develop, oversee, and manage the front-of-house team, while working closely with the management team to create and develop a unique and elevated beverage experience that is in harmony with the kitchen’s food program.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lead by example, inspiring staff to deliver a memorable food and beverage experience
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
- Maintain exceptional standards of professionalism and hospitality
- Handle rare and limited product with precise table side manner
- Display a passion for and about wine and the industry
- Ensure the delivery of superior customer service through effective staff training and education
- Actively participate in the mentorship and support of all team members
- Develop a strong and positive rapport with staff, agents, wineries, and guests
- Drive positive results and aligns with business goals
- Under the direction of the Restaurant Director, initiate and execute special projects as required
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience leading a premium food and beverage operation
- Hold a high-level, professionally recognized Sommelier certification from WSET, CMS, ISG or other valued equivalent
- Related university degree or a combination of education and experience
- Highly committed to a premium level of service and precise table side manners
- Knowledgeable on food and wine pairings, as well as a passion for terroir
- Skilled at developing and creating food and beverage experiences that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Superior conflict resolution skills, with the ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, management, clientele, suppliers, and partners
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Comfortable with dealing with media, public speaking, and VIP guests
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
