**The Opportunity**

We are hiring two **Associates **to join the Contracts and Storage Tank Systems (STS) teams within the Council’s Alberta Safety Codes Authority (ASCA) department.

As the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, you will play a leading role in providing professional, accurate, and timely client service. Your creative problem-solving skills will allow you to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations regarding enhancements to existing processes. This is a fast-paced environment that requires a team player with excellent interpersonal, time management, and computer skills.

The Associate will**:

- Respond to client and stakeholder inquiries about programs, services, and process requirements.
- Help clients and stakeholder learn and navigate Council’s software systems (eSITE, eBiz, TMS) that manage safety related data.
- Manage client information in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and maintain accurate client records and notes within electronic and paper files.
- Draft correspondence and other documents of a complex nature, producing professional documents with a high degree of accuracy.
- Provide input into business requirements and enhancement priorities for the Council’s business systems.
- Conduct user acceptance testing for enhancements to business systems in accordance with established processes and standards.
- Build reports and queries related to programs, including compliance monitoring reporting, permit fee and inspection reporting.
- Support project and ongoing working groups, including scheduling meetings, preparing and distributing agendas and supporting documents, participating in meetings, taking meeting minutes, monitoring and ensuring that action items are addressed.
- Actively participate, collaborate and support the ASCA department in the development and implementation of projects, work methods, processes and procedures while monitoring and tracking progress.
- Represent the Council at career fairs, trade shows, and other stakeholder events to promote ASCA and the safety codes system.

Experience and Qualifications
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree in Business Administration or related field is required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a professional office environment providing client service.
- An understanding of project management principles and practices is an asset.
- Computer proficiency in related data processing, electronic records, databases, and communication.
- Advanced working knowledge and skill using various software programs including but not inclusive to Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word) and SharePoint.
- Experience in statistical research, data analytics, and the reporting of data is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive, professional, collaborative working relationships with both internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to interact knowledgeably, comfortably, positively, and respectfully with diverse individuals.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with superior attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, including problem assessment.
- Knowledge and understanding of Alberta’s safety codes system, its legislation, regulations and processes is an asset.

The Safety Codes Council is an independent regulatory body established in 1993 under the _Safety Codes Act_. The Council provides oversight of Alberta’s safety codes system through a number of key mandated functions including:

- Accrediting and monitoring the compliance of municipalities, agencies, corporations, and regional service
