Sales Representative Ontario

Systems for Research is looking for a driven, self-motivated individual with strong people and organizational skills to join our company as a technical sales representative. The successful applicant will be responsible for growing sales in Ontario for our nanotechnology and surface characterization tools.

**More about the opportunity**:
The Account Manager is responsible for managing sales/ account management activities for all assigned locations, defining and driving sales strategies, and ensuring the achievement of bookings, revenue, and business goals. This position requires that you be based in Ontario to facilitate weekly technical visits and consultations with new and existing customers and prospects in Universities, Government Labs, and Industry.

Essential Performance Expectations:

- Own all sales/ account management responsibilities of specified products to all sites including resolving any issues.
- Develop relationships with existing and new customers and interface with them directly through regular and ongoing visits. This will take most of your time.
- Build a strong business plan that defines, aligns, and implements account strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Understand all budget issues to each customer and take strategic action.
- Direct account activities for your territory to ensure high visibility for our products, success in a competitive market and an elevated level of customer satisfaction.
- Strategically identify areas of growth and understand competitive threats to your success
- Work independently to plan and organize your time
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet sales goals.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and our suppliers
- Confirm all system configurations, specifications and acceptance conditions are appropriate for closing orders
- Positively always represent Systems for Research and our Suppliers throughout customer and supplier visits and locations

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor or Masters in Science. -Chemistry, Physics or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Surface Characterization Techniques (SEM, AFM, Microscopy)
- 3+ years Industry experience
- 2 +years of outside sales, preferably in a related field
- A proven record of accomplishment managing a sales territory recommended; along with a demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively.
- Ability to travel to customer sites and factories locally and internationally.
- Highly developed negotiation skills for customer interaction and closure of sales and other issues.
- Excellent, enthusiastic, clear communication skills to a diverse audience are critical to the success of this position.
- Systematic problem solving by working with customers and account team.
- Competency with Office - Word, Excel, etc.
