Consultant, Risk Control

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the Montreal office.

**What the day will look like**:
Management of risk control resources/services to best meet client needs;
Developing risk control management programs for prevention and improving premises or operations;
Developing client loss estimates (MFL/PML) on a site specific and portfolio basis to assist with insurance program design.
Carrying out facility risk control project reviews and providing related advice;
Conducting hazard identification and risk assessments at client sites;
Developing and delivering hazard awareness and loss prevention training/seminars;
Preparing insurance underwriting and risk control reports;
Evaluating, prioritizing and responding to insurance company recommendations;
Developing new risk control service offerings and participating in sales opportunities (RFP’s);
Embodying and sponsoring Aon’s values and vision, business goals and objectives through a variety of effective communication techniques and structures;
Fostering and motivating a collaborative team culture across groups, units and teams within the Risk Control department;
Supporting the achievement of organizational business goals by creating positive and productive departmental working environments, coaching and developing talent and recognizing team and individual accomplishments may be required; and
Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Skills and experience that lead to success**:
3-5 years of progressive experience in Property/Equipment Hazards Risk Control, Fire Safety and Prevention/or industry experience;
General knowledge of basic insurance, property, premises liability, fire, boiler & machinery or liability experience;
Strong analysis, problem solving and decision making capabilities;
Ability to work collaboratively as a key team member and independently with minimum supervision;
Demonstrated success with developing client relationships;
Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Fluently Bilingual (French/English); and
Flexibility to travel (Canada and International).

**Education**:
Currently hold a related degree and/or designation (Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or Professional Engineer, Fire Protection Engineering, Certified Fire Inspector or Certified Fire Protection Specialist CFPS (NFPA);
Holds or currently working towards the Professional Engineering license; and
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
