**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a **seasoned, strategic, and operationally-minded Store Manager** to lead our Rosedale location—one of our premier stores. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of store performance and team leadership and will serve as a critical bridge between the store and executive leadership.

Reporting directly to the **VP of Operations**, the Store Manager will play a pivotal role in translating company vision into consistent operational excellence, business growth, and an elevated customer experience.

This is a **senior management position** best suited to an individual with a **minimum of 5 years of Store Manager experience in the grocery industry**, who thrives in high-expectation environments and has a track record of leading multi-functional teams with strong financial, merchandising, and people leadership skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Operational Leadership**
- Lead full-store operations, including inventory, merchandising, scheduling, vendor relations, loss prevention, and compliance.
- Ensure operational consistency and excellence across all departments (grocery, produce, meat, deli, bakery, prepared foods).
- Translate high-level organizational strategies into actionable plans that achieve sales targets, margin performance, and operational KPIs.

**People & Culture**
- Champion a high-performance culture by mentoring and developing department managers and team leads.
- Oversee recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaging workplace aligned with Summerhill Market’s values.

**Customer Experience**
- Maintain a customer-first culture, ensuring that the store experience reflects the brand’s elevated standards at all times.
- Resolve complex customer issues promptly and thoughtfully.
- Ensure store appearance, service, and product presentation meet or exceed expectations daily.

**Strategic & Financial Oversight**
- Review and interpret P&L statements; maintain expense controls and drive revenue growth.
- Implement operational strategies that enhance profitability, reduce shrink, and improve labour efficiency.
- Collaborate with VP of Operations and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Minimum **5 years of Store Manager experience** in a grocery retail environment, preferably within a boutique or premium format
- Proven ability to manage **multi-departmental teams** in a complex, high-volume retail environment
- Deep understanding of **grocery retail operations**, inventory systems, labour management, and merchandising strategy
- Inspirational leader with **exceptional people development and communication skills**:

- Strong business acumen with demonstrated experience managing budgets, P&L, and vendor relationships
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with a willingness to be hands-on and visible on the floor

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

- Toronto, ON M4W 2E4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
