DIVERSEcity is seeking a **Database Coordinator** to join our team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Systems and Evaluation, the Database Coordinator monitors the day-to-day utilization of a cross
- agency client management system including; coordination and compilation of statistical data for client services including Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC); service analysis, program evaluation, monitoring and reporting requirements. The Database Coordinator supports program delivery through ensuring data integrity and bulk data uploads to relevant reporting systems. The Database Coordinator participates in policies and procedures formulation and program evaluation and data and deliverable tracking across multiple funding contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- With support from Supervisor, ensures integrity of client data through data entered by staff, and running regular simple data verification reports, and correcting errors when required; within the DIVERSEcity Client Management System for designated programs.
- Reviews data for errors/inconsistencies at the systemic level. Follows-up with appropriate staff to identify and correct deficiencies.
- Coordinates activities to ensure successful completion of monthly federal reporting requirements, including exporting bulk data on client services from DIVERSEcity Client Information System to federal database. Troubleshoots any errors in transmission.
- Supports program, funder and cross agency data analysis and evaluation by running queries and generating regular reports against data entered in CMS as directed by supervisor to help identify emergent client trends.
- Supports improvements to DIVERSEcity Client Information System to streamline service delivery, client pathways and referral processes.
- With support from Supervisor, interacts with DIVERSEcity Client Information System developer and program management team to customize reports. Troubleshoots deficiencies in reports as required.
- Coordinates training and orientation to new users of the DIVERSEcity Client Information System. Provides some basic training to new users as part of onboarding.
- Liaises with community service providers and other professionals around client centered data and evaluation with the sector and represents the organization or program in external events.
- Makes recommendation to the supervisor regarding program development, policy and procedure formulation and program evaluation.
- User creation and role assignments in the DIVERSEcity Client Management System.
- Coordinates updates to DIVERSEcity Client Management System such as the entering new programs, teams, activities within the system
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Diploma in Records and Information Systems from a recognized training institution
- Three (3) recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the employer.
- Written and verbal fluency in English at a professional level;
- Strong interpersonal, mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Demonstrated cultural awareness in working with others;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic group environment.
This position requires union membership. A Criminal Record Check is a requirement of employment.
