The Municipal Group of Companies is a large, diversified organization engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction, mining and environmental services within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking a Transport Coordinator to join our Dispatch Team based out of Bedford, NS.

**Job Summary**:
The Transport Coordinator is responsible for the daily compliance of all drivers, maintaining driver files and ensuring all related administrative duties are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise daily compliance of all drivers.
- Participate in Divisional costing and improvement initiatives
- Reconcile Monthly and Quarterly fuel tax reports for MGOC
- Coordinate and distribute data from company systems upon request
- Support Commercial Drivers with compliance defects
- Reconcile monthly Visa statements
- Coordinate with field staff on compliance items
- Distribute Fuel access to MEL employees
- Coordinate Onboarding of new employees
- Distribute weekly divisional KPI’s
- Manage and maintain driver files and overall compliance
- Clerical duties for Divisional Manager upon request
- Coordinate employee training and external vendors as needed
- Oversee operational fines and payments
- Participate in Company Safety Systems
- Company travel may be required
- Any other duties as required

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience**:

- A degree or diploma from a recognized university or college
- 1-3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Ability to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Must be detail conscious while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Strong time and priority management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional and personable attitude
- High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning
- Strong knowledge of various computer tracking systems such as SharePoint and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc)
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
