We are currently looking for:
**Generator Service Technician**

**JOB SUMMARY**:The GENERATOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN is responsible for providing reliable service solutions and preventative maintenance to power generation systems. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and Planned Maintenance on a variety of equipment within the Custom Power Generation product support department. Serves as liaison between sales and product support, ensuring generators are modified, tested, and shipped according to customer requirements. Confirms equipment/systems meet or exceed all applicable standards and remain in ready-to-run condition.

**BASIC FUNCTIONS**:

- Visits various customer sites to perform scheduled preventative maintenance in accordance with CSA 282 including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts; ensures emergency power systems can deliver necessary service to the site.
- Responds to emergency calls from customers at various sites; troubleshoots power generation equipment to detect faults and malfunctions and determine extent of required repairs; adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts; tests repaired equipment to ensure proper performance
- Completes detailed service and equipment performance reports as required for general repairs and routine maintenance.
- Tests, measures, and verifies electrical component operations, including energized components and electrical fields; conducts building transfer tests to confirm correct operation of transfer switches, breakers, and generator units.

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**:

- This self-starter will have the ability to work safely with mínimal supervision and will be able to contribute positively to a quality team environment.
- Knowledge of the CSA 282 guidelines for testing and maintenance on fire, life and safety equipment.

**ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY**:

- Represent Custom Power Generation with a high standard of professionalism and ethics
- Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work commitments. Follows organizational guidelines, professional standards, regulations, and principles. Demonstrates reliability and integrity daily.
- Meet client expectations and required service levels
- Foster an environment of open communication within the Product support team along with other Custom Power Generation teams

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Previous Power Gen Experience
- Electrical or Mechanical ticket coupled with Generator experience will be considered an asset. Equivalent certifications will be considered
- Familiarization with the CSA 282 guidelines
- EGSA Certification will be considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
