Brandt is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technical Specialist in our Regina location. This position reports into the Application Support Manufactured Products Team Lead.

This position is accountable for providing support to Metal Fabrication equipment, such as NC controlled plasma, laser, brakes, robotic welders, and machining centers. Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, and outside vendors to ensure the processes remain operational with limited downtime. Ensures that IT infrastructure is available when and where required by the business

Other responsibilities include support to all users of Technology platforms ensuring each user has the right hardware, software, and licensing. Contacts vendors to remedy software bugs and patches. Ensure that all technical issues with the various vendors are dealt with and followed up to a resolution satisfactorily to the business. Product Data Management (PDM), Files Vaulting software. Some after hours availability may be required. Travels to various plants, may include travel to USA.

- Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.

Required Experience
- Must have a relevant degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary educational institute
- Experience supporting technology used in Design and/or Manufacturing
- Previous knowledge of Metal Fabrication equipment, such as NC controlled plasma, laser, brakes, robotic welders, machining centers
- Experience with Shop Floor equipment and technology including post processors and toolpath file delivery is an asset
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM), Files Vaulting software; experience with PLM is an asset
