Thunder Bay, Canada Superior Fire Alarm Full time

_Superior Fire Alarm_ is looking to recruit an **Office and Field Support Representative** to our team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The **Office and Field Support Representative** will use their administrative and technical skills in order to go above and beyond client expectations and guarantee them fully compliant fire alarm systems with exceptional service.

This is a full-time term office position for 15 months, with the possibility of extension. If the extension is granted, the employee will complete the required CFAA coursework and transition into a full-time field position as a Fire Alarm Technician.

**Qualifications**:

- CFAA certification/willingness to obtain CFAA
- Diploma/certificate in office administration or equivalent combination of education and experience is an asset
- Diploma/certificate in electronics, fire safety or equivalent combination of education and experience is an asset
- Electrical experience is an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Proficiency with use of computers; including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals is a strong asset
- Knowledge of fire alarm, construction and/or the electrical industry is a strong asset
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment
- Ability to complete work timely and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build position relationships with customers and coworkers

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
**Administrative duties**:

- Preparing quotes for customers
- Generating reports and invoices
- Maintain schedule for multiple technicians, including inspection and installation appointments across Northwestern Ontario
- Regularly maintaining multiple customer databases
- Coordinating subcontractors as required
- Shipping and Receiving
- Inventory maintenance
- Process payments via credit card, debit card, or cash

**Field Duties**:

- Assist with performing fire alarm annual inspections, verification’s and troubleshooting as required
- Assist with fire extinguisher and emergency lights inspections and maintenance
- Complete work orders and reports in a timely manner
- Read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals
- May be required to handle after hours and weekend service calls on a rotational basis
- Other duties as required
