**WHAT THE ROLE IS ALL ABOUT**

Reporting to the Water & Sewer Foreman, the Pipelayer is responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. This is a field-based position that will work on a rotational schedule of 20 days on and 10 days off, where travel and camp accommodations are provided. This role will be based out of Northern Ontario or Northern Manitoba.

**ESSENTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS WE NEED FROM YOU**
- Cut, lay, align, and backfill pipe for stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water main installations
- Lay, fuse, and install water and sewer HDPE piping systems according to plans and specifications
- Operate butt fusion and electrofusion equipment safely and accurately
- Perform pressure and leakage tests to verify integrity of pipe systems
- Install hydrants, manholes, valves, and other underground infrastructure components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications related to piping systems
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment prior to job start; ensure availability throughout the project
- Provide general labour and support to crew members and supervisors as required

**WHAT WILL MAKE YOU A POSITIVE IMPACT?**
- Minimum 2 years of experience working on sewer and water construction projects
- Certification in pipe fusing (butt fusion or electrofusion) considered an asset
- Pipelayer certification considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and underground utility plans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Effective time management skills are required.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background check.
