**Buyer / Purchase Officer**

Location: Toronto, ON

The Canadian Major Projects division of VINCI Construction (VCMP) is specialised in the management and execution of complex infrastructure projects as well as the construction of major civil engineering and building works. It is a subsidiary of VINCI, a global player in concessions and construction company, which employs more than 183,000 people in around 100 countries.

**Position's Main Objectives**: Ensure high quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.

**Reporting to**:Procurement Manager

**Principal Accountability & Responsibility**:
Coordinate with user departments and suppliers the purchasing process.
Responsible for the preparation and processing of purchase orders as well as documentation in accordance with the company policies and procedures, and applicable legal requirements.
Maintain excellent contact and coordination with staff at various levels and frmo different departments.
Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders and other requests.
Assist in managing and following up overseas orders.
Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products.

**Key Skills and Knowledge**:
Ability to understand the end-user and end-customer s needs and ensure that purchasing meet the project needs.
Ability to serve, motivate and drive the team as well as foster collaboration among staff members.
Fluency in English. French an asset.

**Education**:degree/diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management; degree in a Business related area; high school diploma with relevant experience.

**Experience**: minimum 5 years of professional experience in the development and administration of procurements.
