**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as needed.
- Monitor food quality during cooking processes to ensure consistency and taste.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal service efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment after use.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for cooking and the ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
