Student Engagement Assistant

Reporting to the Associate Director, Student Engagement, or designate, the Student Engagement Assistants work as a team to facilitate opportunities that foster student connection, community development, and a greater awareness of university resources for all RRU students. All Student Engagement Assistants have the opportunity to take leadership within a particular area of student outreach. The Engagement Assistants may also assist with administrative event planning support for the Royal Roads University Student Association (RRUSA) and other registered student organizations.
- Job Requirements- A registered student at RRU
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Experience successfully organizing activities and events
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment
- Able to take initiative and to work independently
- Experience working with various platforms of social media (including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter)
- Enthusiasm for welcoming new students to RRU
- Able to work flexible hours, evening and weekends
- Additional Information- This is a casual, on-call position. The hourly rate is $21.54. Due to its limited term nature, this position is not eligible for enrolment in the University’s Benefits Plan, but you will be provided with 4% in lieu of vacation.
