Fire Shop Technician

Our Fire Shop Technician will be responsible for completing and supporting inspection, testing and repair work related to fire protection and related equipment. Some of the additional expectations of this role include:
- Inspecting, testing, and servicing fire extinguishers;
- Inspecting and testing fire hoses;
- Servicing life-saving appliances;
- Ensuring timely and quality completion of work orders;
- Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities;
- Monitoring parts inventory and equipment maintenance requirements;
- Following all safe work practices and safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job; and
- Participating in on-call/call out emergency service as required.
This position also requires **supporting our Administrative Coordinator** between 5 to 10 hours per week which involves helping with service scheduling and execution of associated administrative tasks, including the following:
- Producing customer work order and communicating with field technicians to ensure all service requirements are fulfilled;
- Assisting Technicians in fulfilling customer requests and service inspections;
- Quoting and invoicing orders and service work;
- Producing fire inspection reports and certificates;
- Maintaining client, product and other related information in the ERP;
- Processing billing;
- Opening and receiving purchase and transfer orders as well as checking outgoing inventory;
- Managing administrative and recordkeeping requirements.

Notre Technicien Atelier Incendie sera chargé d’effectuer et de soutenir les travaux d’inspection, d’essai et de réparation liés à la protection contre les incendies et aux équipements apparentés. Quelques responsabilités supplémentaires de ce poste sont les suivantes:
- inspecter, tester et entretenir les extincteurs d’incendie ;
- inspecter et tester les tuyaux d’incendie ;
- entretenir les appareils de sauvetage ;
- assurer l’exécution des commandes de travail dans le respect des délais et de la qualité ;
- remplir des rapports quotidiens concernant les commandes de travail et les activités achevées ;
- contrôler les stocks de pièces et répondre aux besoins d’entretien des équipements ;
- suivre toutes les pratiques de travail sécurisées et faire preuve de leadership en matière de sécurité dans tous les aspects du travail ; et
- participer au service d’urgence de garde et sur appel, selon les besoins.
Ce poste nécessite également de **soutenir notre coordonnateur administratif** entre 5 et 10 heures par semaine, ce qui implique d’aider à la planification des services et à l’exécution des tâches administratives connexes, y compris les suivantes:
- produire l’ordre de travail du client et communiquer avec les techniciens sur le terrain pour s’assurer que toutes les exigences de service sont remplies;
- aider les techniciens à répondre aux demandes des clients et aux inspections de service;
- devis et facturation des commandes et des travaux de service;
- produire des rapports et des certificats d’inspection d’incendie;
- maintenir les renseignements sur les clients, les produits et d’autres renseignements connexes dans le PRE;
- traitement de la facturation;
- ouverture et réception des ordres d’achat et de transfert ainsi que vérification des stocks sortants; et
- gérer les exigences administratives et de tenue de documents.
