The Court and Justice Services (CJS) Division provides a wide range of resolution and court services for people involved in legal disputes. In collaboration with the courts of Alberta, Court and Justice Services provides various programs and services including educating and helping Albertans finding solutions for legal issues, navigating the court system, offering programs at no cost or a nominal charge, and administrative support to all courts in Alberta.

Join our team as an Education Advisor in the Public Legal Education & Information Unit, where you will have the opportunity to develop and design educational materials for the Business and Resolution Services branch. Help us ensure that vital programming and information are easily accessible to the public across the province, making a meaningful difference in people’s lives
As an Education Advisor, you will play a key role in:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high quality legal education content, including but not limited to publications, posters, brochures, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, webinars, and educational courses.
- Delivering engaging and informative presentations to a variety of stakeholders, largely for adult audiences.
- Ongoing consultation and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on the improvement and implementation of current initiatives and training and learning opportunities for Albertans.
- Receiving survey data from service providers and assisting in analyzing and reporting for the purpose of continuous program improvement and funding proposals. Researching trends and issues impacting service delivery, including changes in legislation, court processes, precedent, protocol, or procedures to keep staff and clients informed.- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to advise and present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
University graduation in a related field (e.g. Education, Psychology, Social Work, etc.) plus 2 years of progressively responsible related experience in advising, developing, and delivering educational materials.
**Equivalency**:Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of 1 year of education for 1 year of experience or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
**Assets**
- Work experience in developing and coordinating educational or research materials.
- Work experience with adult learning principals and instructional design.
- Work experience in survey design, data collection and data analysis.
- Leadership work experience (please ensure to include examples such as chairing a committee, coaching a colleague, or leading a team in your resume).
- Working knowledge of the judicial environment and related legislation (e.g. Family Law Act, Divorce Act, Protection Against Family Violence Act, Child Youth and Family Enhancement Act, etc.). Fluent written and oral communication skills in French.Minimum recruitment standards outline the minimum education and experience required for appointment to a job classification.
