REAL finds itself in the enviable position of managing one of the most interesting and versatile connected spaces in North America with an opportunity to impact the lives of millions by creating life-long memories and delivering exceptional experiences.
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible to generate revenue by planning, leading, and implementing all sales aspects of a variety of events that take place at the REAL District. The Account Executive will be responsible for maintaining and increasing the current level of corporate and social event business throughout the various properties of REAL. You will be required to provide outstanding customer service and organize memorable events that exceed quality expectations. This position will also identify future growth opportunities for additional service offerings through calculated event attraction and bid procurement on behalf of REAL and its managed properties. As a member of the REAL team, you will be required to be active in the community to maintain and nurture long-term relationships with current clients while identifying and acting on potential opportunities for the corporate development team.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Fostering strong and meaningful relationships to maintain an extensive network of connections that can be tapped for new business outreach, expertise, and event hosting partnerships.
- Lead client meetings and site tours; present ideas, solutions, and saleable opportunities that meet client objectives.
- Ensuring event orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner by this unit’s support team and shared with clients at appropriate intervals and post major events.
- Ensuring events run smoothly for clients and deals with any problems that may occur.
- Collaborating with and REAL’s internal departments to develop sales proposals that are mutually beneficial to the client and REAL.
- Being active in the community and attending industry tradeshows and local business events to network and meet clients and cultivate relationships while also expanding industry knowledge and awareness.
- Handling objections by clarifying agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion using various sales and relationship tactics and account planning.
- Performing other duties as allocated.

**WHAT IT TAKES**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, commerce, event management or related field or a combination of related training, education, and experience.
- Previous demonstrated experience managing the sales, planning, and delivery of corporate and social events.
- Experience in Event Management software, diagramming programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Experience in Hospitality, catering, sporting, events, and entertainment industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of sales strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
- Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate with key decision makers.
- Ability to develop and sustain effective client relationships.
- Possess a high level of initiative and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
