The Estimator will be responsible for all quality, technical, cost, schedule, and contractual matters by supporting awarded projects and preparing Pre-Qualifications and Tenders in connection with the Business Development Team.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for all activities related to direct cost estimation (civil part) of the designated project;
- Assist Estimation Manager with the preparation and submission of commercial offers within the specified time frame;
- Responsible for communication and reporting to the Estimation Manager
- Attend internal tender kick-off meetings and internal coordination meetings for selected projects;
- Study tender documents received from the client for selected projects;
- Review all verbal, faxed, and postal queries raised/received during the tender and post-submittal process to update estimation accordingly;
- Coordinate with the designated QS team for the preparation and submission of commercial offers within the specified time frame whilst implementing the Company’s policies and standards, so as to maximize the successful outcome of the tender submission;
- Review and take over the quantity take-off/quantity check for all elements of selected projects;
- Review and clarify all estimation interfaces with other trades, such as MEP and external subcontractors;
- Assist in the estimation and commercial presentation of Value Engineering Options;
- Review cost comparison sheets provided by the Procurement team and take over the proposal to estimation in coordination with the Estimation Manager;
- Prepare the own works estimation summary in coordination with the Estimation Manager;
- Take the lead in preparing the prices and unpriced Bill of Quantity after Bid Price approval;
- Provide support to compile the commercial documents required for the tender submission;
- Provide input for the project risk assessment
- Provide input related to queries related to tender documents and subcontractor-related offers;
- Provide input to planning team related to manpower histogram;
- Provide support for Project Controls
- Update estimation database
- Cooperate with the Company to enable compliance with the relevant statutory provisions;
**Knowledge and Skills**:
- Data Analysis and critical thinking

- Technical skills and time management
- good organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, persistent, and flexible
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent knowledge of estimation
- Software like Arriba, AutoCad, Revit, Primavera and Tilos advantageous
- Must have a valid G driver’s license
**Qualifications**:
- Must have a Civil Engineering Degree
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
- Must have 5 years of experience as an Estimator
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
