- Do you think you have the ability and drive to keep up with this exciting, ever-changing industry? Whether it be in front of the camera, on air, online or behind the scenes, you would be joining a team that thrives on making connections and telling stories that are important to Canadians.

**Your role**
- Are you a creative, dynamic and people-focused senior journalist looking for a new leadership challenge in a busy, daily newsroom?
- CBC Edmonton is looking for an executive producer of programming and engagement.
- Reporting to the director of journalism and programming, the executive producer will lead our teams who produce current affairs programming, podcasts and special projects, work closely with our communications department to connect with and grow our audiences in Edmonton and northern Alberta, and coordinate our staff development and engagement initiatives to foster an inclusive and collaborative work culture.
- In this role you will work alongside the executive producer of news to steer our programs and our people into an increasingly digital future and help us reach a whole new generation of Albertans.

You are a strategic thinker who puts audience needs at the centre of your decision-making, ensuring our programming connects our audiences to the news they need to know, the stories that affect their lives and the issues that resonate in their communities.
- You strive to broaden the range of perspectives, experiences and points of view reflected in programming, especially those from people who have been traditionally underrepresented in the media. You are adept at engaging with audiences and connecting with the community, looking for new ways to reach people where they are.
- As a leader, you are naturally collaborative, skilled at navigating conflict and change, breaking down silos and championing team success. You are a mentor at heart, and are deeply invested in developing a representative and inclusive culture. You will oversee staff development, training opportunities and scheduling, so organizational skills and an eye for talent are key.
- Ideally, you bring a different life experience, perspective and expertise to our newsroom team, all of which will enrich our content and help our programs grow new, younger and more diverse audiences across broadcast and digital platforms.
